Applying for a Grant
The fund aims to be flexible, responsive to emerging issues and context and encourages issues-based dialogue, collaboration and partnership-building. Requests for funding will be open to civil society organisations which can demonstrate robust thinking, originality and value for money. In particular, new and innovative ways of addressing thematic areas will be encouraged.
We are employing a range of funding option and identification modalities including restricted open calls, thematic, rapid response, capacity building, issues-based/coalitions, and small CBO grants in order to solicit concepts notes and proposals for award.
Ongoing TRACE research is also used to identify potential issues based programs and other potential opportunities
Concept notes that align with the TRACE thematic areas can be submitted directly to the organisation via e mail at any time. These concept notes are reviewed monthly and succesful applicants will be invited to submit full proposals for funding (click button below for concept note template).
TRACE also supports the capacity building of both new and established organisations that are doing important and innovative work and require institutional support to improve their impact. Civil society organisations are therefore encouraged to be listed in the TRACE CSO database and to share their work, ideas, and potential issues with us directly on .
